For safeguarding your Google Ads advertising, you must activate the feature in your personal dashboard and input your account ID, such as: 987-170-0825. This feature is located in the Website Editing (My Sites/Edit) area, specifically in the first block under Basic Settings.
Your ID is visible in the upper right corner of your Google Ads personal dashboard, next to your account name.
Take note — a manager account ID is not applicable, even if it has permissions for the needed account with your campaigns. The ID required is from the account where your ads are actively running.
Remember that the ID follows the pattern: XXX-XXX-XXXX, with X being a number. Within a few hours (or a day in unusual cases), you’ll receive an email at the address linked to your Google Ads account. This email will request you to allow access for the user clickfraud.access@gmail.com. Adhere to the instructions in the email.
Why is this necessary?
This is to seamlessly send data about identified bots to Google Ads, enabling the blocking of their ad displays (this is the sole function). Keep in mind, access can be revoked anytime. After granting access, information about the detected bot IP addresses will be automatically transmitted to your ad campaigns.
Once Google Ads protection is enabled and our system begins to shield your campaigns from click fraud, the results can be verified in your Google Ads account settings, as illustrated below. You should notice bot IP addresses automatically appended to the exclusion list.
